Default What exhaust you running for H/C/I

I have exhaust on my car of course but it is a LMII, which as we all know if very loud and raspy. Wondering what the best exhaust is that you guys have found to quiet down your cars and cut down the rasp. I know some people just change out the bullet muffler, some change out the whole system, and some just mix and match exhaust parts. So if you could post up what setup you have on your head/cam car and if anyone has some videos that would be great also.

Try this from slp(slponline.com)
PN: 31086 Exhaust Kit, 1998-02 Camaro/Firebird "PowerFlo®" LS1 to Loud Mouth®/Loud Mouth II® Conversion

Bolts directly to your LMII, Sounds pretty good from when i heard it on a head cam 402 ls2 car

Yeah i thought about the PowerFlo system from SLP but i just didnt know if that was going to do that much. Kinda wanted to get some info or video on it first.

I thought about adding a magnaflo cat back also. Just not for sure yet

I have that same LOUD and crappy sound exhaust lol. Was the car too quiet with the new setup...not counting the cutout of course?

Yeah thats what i am trying to figure out?? I mean the LMII is better than the LMI but still i have to crank the radio all the way up and forget trying to talk on the phone. Maybe i am just getting old but i want to quiet it down some. HAHA

Magnaflow here! I had the Slp LM-1. Was way to loud. Then did the magnamouth. Didn't care for the sound. Found a very good deal on the magnaflow from the For sale section. Sounds great. Not to loud just driving, but gets loud at wot. Next is Tsp 1 7/8 headers with there y pipe.

at first it seemed to quiet but i think it was because i was used to loud slp i had, its louder than stock but not obnoxious loud and you can actually hear your self think in the cab. its still nice and loud when you step on pedal, and when i get home my wife can hear me pull up and i still wake my neighbors up in the morning so im a happy with it the muffler only cost me like 85 dollars and like another 70 to have it welded in place. now this isnt the magnaflow that goes in place of the resinator this would go where the stock muffler used to sit. here is a link of an example muffler that would work http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mp...model/firebird

there is some on on tech that did the same thing and took really good pic out in california but be hell if i can find it now

Hookers 1 7/8 LT, tsp y pipe, dmh cut outand borla muffler. I love the sound. If money wasnt a concern i would go with kooks 1 7/8 and their true duals though

Or tsp tds, half the price of kooks, serves the same purpose, its just not stainless. You just can't go wrong with duals. Flows better than any ypipe setup with absolutely no rasp.

Arent the TSP duals dumped under the vehicle?? I just really want to cut down on the rasp and not have it be so loud inside the car. I will have to look into dual setups that run out the rear.

Another Kooks FTW. Pricey but worth it. I ordered mine from Maryland speed, 1 3/4" stepped to 1 7/8" LTs, + TDs. Install is easy, just takes time to line up the tips. I sold my old exhaust to pay for half the cost of this system and was worth every $$ IMO.

Old SLP Tuned Length Headers, SLP ORY, Magnaflo Catback... No issues, quiet at idle and screams when at WOT.
