I am about to swap in an ls1 from a 2000 z28, is there much to gain from the ls6 intake ?

You can gain anywhere from 10-20 horsepower depending on other mods. If you get it for cheap, I'd say its worth it.

ls6 is the best budget intake unless you like the big metal intakes.

fast is even better but you gotta pay.

Has anyone seen back to back comparisons of the two? With or without other mods? I know I saw one that showed about 10 hp more above 6000 , nothing below that. Not sure if there were other mods. In that instance, not worth the money to me.

Uh definitely worth the money. I put a Tsunami camshaft in my car, and that pos ls1 intake stopped making power where my cam was good for making power. LS6 intake will put me at 400rwhp if not more. Definitely a must lol

Ive ran against other LS1's with nearly the exact same mods, but not running the ls6 intake and I pulled on them.. Its worth it unless its being bought brand new, in that case I would just add a few hundred dollars more and get a fast setup.

This is the point of the thread right??? To judge a performance part's worth??? Most judge it by numbers being put down. Again I was showing the OP that my LS1 intake with my mods put down good numbers.
