All you'll need is a wire tap and about 2 minutes to hook it up and mount it. Most people use the MSD 2-step. You can tap into the Clutch Position Sensor under the hood at the PCM. Wire tap the correct wire and mount the 2-step on the shock tower. Plug it into both coil harnesses and you're done. MSD even includes a wire tap with it.

When I bought mine I done alot of research on them and seen that a few of the lingenfelters gave problems, I just can't remember what. I ended up going with the MSD. Like he said, tap in right off the pcm. I tried tapping in at the pedal but when I was playing around with a test light my car took off while I was laying on my back in the floorboard lol. Scary stuff.

You just use a small screwdriver to adjust the RPMs. There are two dials labeled 0-9. One for thousand and one for hundreds. As for starting out RPMs, depends on your rear end and tire combo. Those with a bulletproof rear end start at the 4500 ballpark and increase it as needed. Mine is set at 5500. Once I throw some ET Drags on there I'll bump to around 6K. (Track conditions permitting.)

A quick google image cause I'm too lazy to walk out to the garage. You can see the two small dials.

just wanted to throw out a quick update.....i installed my 2-step this morning and it is awesome, i love the sound when it engages.......MSD makes a very high quality part, the entire unit is plug and play except for one wire......my car is a 1998, so i used the blue wire and spliced it to the purple/white wire running from the 2 prong clutch sensor.....install was a breeze.....i have it set at 3500 now, but that will increase once i get a stronger rear.

also, WS6store had the best price and they shipped it quickly.
