True Dual Duals Build

Since winter has set in here in the Midwest (wow does it suck) I'm thinking about changing my true dual / duals. It has a little bit of rasp at 1500-2500 rpm and I'm thinking about swapping out the Dynomax race mufflers to Magnaflow #10416 link. The Magnaflows are the same outside diameter but the case is longer and I assume they have more / better packing than race mufflers. What do you guys think - Will these help get rid of a little rasp??? LMK what you think.

WOW! Boy am I glad you updated in this post! That is beautiful work my friend. Too bad we don't have "winter" here in the Phoenix area.
I wonder if a single 3" would fit over axle with a split after for this set up. I may have to look into that. Either way, it looks like I have some work ahead of me. Keep us updated what you go with and how it turns out.

I think you're on the right track to kill that pesky rasp. Old friend of mine use to do that quite a bit on customer cars by adding the longest thrush cherry bomb he could find. Longer = more resonance absorption. He also would crimp pipe slightly in different spots with huge channel locks after getting pipe cherry red with oxy-acetylene. Wouldn't recommend that for your flow though obviously.
