LS2 intake swap questions
6.0 LQ4 block, stock crank
LS2 Vette Rods and pistons
217/224 EPS cam with matching springs, LS7 lifters and pushrods
Ported 317's
LS1 accessories
LS2 GTO intake/rails/injectors
Anyways, thats the basics. Im curious about a few things.
1. What coolant crossovers should I run with the LS2 intake? Its hot as hell here in Miami and Im keeping the AC.
2. Anything I really need to look out for when it comes to installing the PCV system or brake assist or whatnot?
3. Will a Gen3 5.3 Truck MAP sensor work with this intake?
4. I know these injectors (stock LS2 GTO) are a tad bit on the small side, but would they feed this motor? Or am I going to have to replace them? My experience tells me Im might start going static close to redline.
Thanks in Advance.
2) Use a catch can on PCV side & an in-line fuel filter between TB & passenger side valve cover.
3) Don't know, if it is plug in type, as other LS intake MAP sensors are, it can work.. It also needs to be compatible w/ PCM you're using.
4) Try 'em & see. W/ that cam, I think they will work, but, on the high side, as you noted.
Agreed, a ported LS2 intake can be a very good intake. The key is to get the ridges in the runners level & smoothed out. The term ported is relative. Don't want to open the runner up, just smooth the nasty ridges in the runners (from the molds). Can do it @ home if you don't want to send it out.

1. Ill check into using stock LS1 F-Body pieces then.
2. Any particular brand worth using?
3. I guess Ill just have to remove the other one from the intake and find out if it physically mounts then. It looks the same.
Ill take a look inside of it Monday when I get back to work where the engine is. Do I have to seperate the manifold to port it?

2) If it were me, I'd buy cheap. However, there are different versions. Some w/ internal check/PCV valves...etc. Do a search & then decide what's best for you.
Manifold:
No, just smooth out what you can reach. I have an LS2 cut open in order to flute from plenum the runners. It's been years & I still haven't been able to find a product that will properly hold the cut out base in tact under vacuum. Anyway, not necessary or recommended.

I put the FAST adapter on the manifold, and my BBK throttle body didnt clear it. Had to modify a little.
What throttle bracket was used?
Now my biggest problem, the stock F-Body water pump hits the throttle body. Not just a little bit where you can machine it. WTF now?
