Just sharing. They are 799 castings, Had them ported, milled .010 and new stainless manley pro flow race valves, and had my springs swapped over with new locks. I cannot wait to get them on and dyno tested. They look good to me. What do you guys think? Will add more pics later...

I will get more pics later today. Question, I have searched high and low for an answer and keep finding contradicting answers. I would like to change the lifters while I am in there. I have a TSP torquer v2 cam with 232/234, and stock length pushrods. Would LS7 lifters require me to get different length pushrods? I have PRC dual springs good for a .650 lift fwiw. Thanks.

Which area do you mean? The exhaust ports are ported except he didn't touch much where there is still casting sands, which I am not sure why. He said it wouldn't make much of a difference. I paid a total of 450 bucks for everything, including the manley pro flow race valves! I thought it was killer price, and I wasn't going for record breaking port work, just a better job then the as cast 799's.

It looks like most of what was done was removing casting flash and getting a better surface in the runners. Nothing wrong with that, but it will not do as much to help flow as blending the guide bosses, completely grinding out the rocker boss hump in the intake wall, and opening up the exhaust ports a little closer to the size of the headers
Hopefully he did not leave those same places untouched on the intake side as that is one of the most critical places to port.

To answer the question, the ls7 lifter is the same height as a stock lifter. They are made a little different which makes them appear to be shorter but they are not. I just installed a set in my motor back in Feb. I also have the PRC dual for 650.
EDIT - pushrod length checker is like $15 bucks and is easy to use.

Thunderstruck, yes they look like that behind the valves. Thanks for clarifying.
Yes, running the tsp torquer 2 with chromoly 7.4 pushrods. Guys, thanks for advice/comments. This was a budget set of heads, and is going on a summer driving non daily driver street car that will see some track time. Nothing crazy lol... I will get more pics, i realize those have bad lighting...
