Intake Manifold Choice LS6/FAST
If you're going to get a H/C setup, you will want the FAST. You can expect a 20hp increase with the FAST over the LS6 on heads and cammed cars.

Now if you have a heads/cam package that doesn't quit until 6800 or so, you will need the fast, even if it only makes a theoretical 300 horses.

OP- look at your realistic future goals and decide from there. Unless you're doing a max effort set up, the ls6 may be suitable, plus you could use the spare change for other supporting mods. My set up was more for a nice street car that I could take to the track every once in a while. I didn't want to sacrifice reliability by spinning the motor 6800+ rpm's, but I wanted decent power at the same time. Very happy with the balance in my set up.
Bolt on a FAST though watch your kPa at the MAP return to 100 at WOT, and gain an extra 20hp on the top end. So while you "made" 450 with an LS6, all you've done is choked your setup to making 450... All the while you probably had a 465/470 build.
