That's the dilemma. What heads... Cam is based on the heads.

Then there's the whole "is my buddy going to sell me his 434 shortblock. Cause THAT I've already got heads picked out for. Darin Morgan ported LS7's or RHS LS7's.

Also, after having (yet again) my mind blown up by Geoff... In a stock cam car, I'm not going to see the benefits from the Tri-Y headers. They really need overlap to shine, and the pulses that accompany.

When the cam goes in, that's going to be the real tell tale sign.

I say throw some MAST LS3s and a Super Victor on it. Then get a cam with 30 degrees of overlap and spin to 8000.

Should be somewhat quick.

Speaking of "somewhat" quick, is your box done yet? Geoff was asking what's going on, lol

Popped a P0332 three times now...

Looks like I'll be pulling the intake again and throwing in some new knock sensors with a new harness.

Jesus. It never ends

I'm guessing pulling an intake manifold in a c5 is quite a bit easier than an Fbody, although I've gotten pretty proficient with it these days and can do it in 20-30 minutes.

Absolutely a lot easier. Only the two rear-most bolts to "hold up". It's easy.

I wanted to wait till it was heads / cam time, but apparently the car says "Do it. Do it.."

That's freaking nuts man. My car made 355/365 with FULL bolt-on's, and I mean EVERYTHING available to bolt on. You made that with just headers. Those headers are nuts!

So do I need to call, write, beg, plead with Pfadt to make a tri-Y header for us F-bodies?

You copy/paste inside here from your Photobucket library the link labeled "IMG"...normally the fourth one starting from the top of the list from the available links you have when clicking on your library image.

Eric. He's the one that told me they very could do a one-off run if there was interest.
