Wanna get my vert into the 12's 1/4 mile
Alright so I have a VERT 98 Trans am ls1 A4, and it has 3.23 gears, Slp loudmouth 2 Cat back, and a true fiber ram air hood so basically stock lol.
Anyways im getting these mods pretty soon:
1. Slp lid
2. Lt Headers
3. Cutout installed on stock y pipe
4. M/T Drag slicks
And Im hoping I can squeeze in a bigger stall converter in the future which I know is worth about .4 to .6 but forget about this comment as it'd be awhile from now.
SO my question is if the 4 mods listed would get a Vert ls1 into the 12's as im 17 and a mid-high 12 sec car is enough to kill most cars id run into

Ok well I do plan on taking a week off of driving my baby to install a stall then get the TQ management removed but who know's when that'd happen. Also im guessing it'd be best to install the new Headers and new stall at the same time, so might just do those 2 first.

In an auto, I'd say the "quickest" route would be getting a stall and some sticky tires along with some weight reduction. You already have 3.23's, so that's a plus, but your 'vert means you've got more weight than non-vert's, so weight reduction will definitely help. Definitely get a lid. That might get you there, if not pretty close to it.

Yea I have thought about putting a 100 shot on it... But to safely do it it'd be like $800 which for $800 I could make it almost just as fast in the 1/4 mile except all the time without any possible damage to my motor

What does the car run now ?
I predicted needing to drop 1.5 sec or more off the ET . . . About 150 HP additional +/-.
As for damage, "leaning on" a stock motor will always incur the risk of possible damage.
