Fast Vs Typhoon Manifold
Well I've been debating this for a long time now and just can't justify it. I have a heads cam 6.0 GTO and I can't pick what is needed.
Car is an ls1 car and I don't feel the extra work needed for the 102 will benefit me dollar to dollar. The Fast 92 vs the typhoon 96 is the argument I am having. Dollar to dollar and part to part I can't see the fast having a 400 dollar price advantage.
Car has a hand ported ls6 so I'm just looking to squeeze the extra 10-15 horsepower out of it.
What are y'all thoughts on this. What would you do. I know the differences in both manifolds but I just can't see the better fast manifold being worth the extra money for little gains

I need a retune so I figured I would do that all at once. The heads are afr ported 215s and a TR 236/242
See that's what I like to hear. If it won't make a difference why do it. Fast I guess is still up top

I got 20rwhp out of my ported 92/92 when I already had H/C. I put on a FTP lid, GM 90mm MAF and 4" bellows at the same time. If I could do it again i would have gone 102, not much difference in peak power, maybe 5hp or so. But from the graphs i have seen the hole curve is better. Don't know much about the typhoon.

I have not ruled the 102 out but its just the cost of buying everything new seems like it will add up to more I'm than I want to Pony out on it.
The 102 is awesome the curve and flow and fact that it will be the last manifold I buy make it amazing but the price is just a little high right now

Made 460/420 on a stock FAST 92/NW92 combo... Ported would have been more. I'd go with the Fast 92 and not look back.
All the Typhoon is, is a cast version of the LS6. and with a TB opening they made larger.
The Fast makes it's power in the RUNNER design, not how big the TB opening is.

I think the 92 is $100 more than the 102 but you'll need a rail kit ~$200 and I believe injector extensions which aren't much. So I don't really think the difference is that much but I could be missing something.

What about the 102 Truck manifold? I know it requires some finagling to fit but wouldn't that be the best? There's a thread someone on here where they discussed it. It definitely looked odd in the engine bay for how big it is but there was a considerable difference in power.

Yes the truck lsxrt is superior the whole rpm range up due to it's design. It's pretty much a cross ram intake in a big ugly bread box. There are older threads & pics of it here, yes you do cut the cowl area out of a f-body to fit it.

So then it may work for the GTO being the intake isn't under the cowl?
I found th 92 and 102 for the same price. The 92 is the four bolt also I believe?
