Default Aftermarket Throttle Bodies.....

Now days, are all after market throttle bodies created equal? Lets say all 92mm. BBK, Nick Williams, Holley, Edelbrock, FAST.... given that they all come in a 92mm version, are there any performance differences? or even design differences in the interior of the throttle body I.E. the blade or the inlet holes?

There are

I would not recommend the Fast brand to anyone ever after my bad experience with the 90mm version. People say the 92mm is better but I refuse to chance it.

I bought a cheaper option from a forum sponsor here, Ballistic Speed and am very pleased with it.

I was just about to say look at the Ballistic Speed TB. OP, search for threads started by the guy above this post and read his write-up on the Ballistic Speed 92mm TB.

I had a slight hanging idle issue with it. but it ended up being that the throttle cable was just a touch too tight. I adjusted the cable and it runs 100% as good as stock now.

Yeah, they are a sponsor on here, so you can just send them a PM. I tired their website the other day too and it wasn't working.

Good question, the website just stays blank. I got this about two months ago, it was part of that short term $150 sale for them.

You got a killer deal. Have you read Thunderstrucks write up yet on it? If I upgrade to a FAST 92, that's the TB I'm going with. How do you like yours?

The 90 degree vacuum fitting at the top is a plastic threaded fitting just pressed into a smooth bore hole. While I'm sure this is just fine, it kinda bugged me.

I put a 1/4 inch pipe thread tap to it and gave it a thread. As this smooth bore is pretty shallow, I ground the tap point down to make it a bottoming tap.

I have a swivel AN fitting for it.

Ballistic Speed's website is still a blank page.

I was considering one of their TB's also. When I was looking at the time, the website was also down and that was 3 weeks ago.

I may just go with a Nick Williams.

Still curious what's going on. Website down and not returning PM's is a bad sign to me.

Here is another option for all of you. We have Accufab make some for us that work great! We have had problems with other brands but not with these. They come in 95mm or 105mm, black or polished.
