Default Install a manual water temp gauge

Looking for ways to install a manual water temp gauge. I did do a search and found several ways to do it but most of the posts are from 2010 and earlier. So if anyone has any advise on adapters or any other ideas let me know!

If size is an issue, the drivers side brass block plug can be drilled and tapped for 1/2" NPT. I'm running the electric sender on my 68 vette there since I wasn't sure there was enough material in the heads for a 1/2" NPT hole.

There is an unused plug on the passenger head towards the back. But I tapped into the coolant crossover line coming off the TB. You can get the needed parts from home depot in the threaded brass plumbing section. You need a T. Then an adapter on each end that goes from threads to a barb for the hose where you cut it. Then the top of the t will need to be 1/8npt or adapted to it. Done!

I should have mentioned that this will be a Carb build.

If I remember correctly, I bored it out slightly before I tapped...
