Ya I dont think the fast will be going anywhere resale value wise. The two intakes are pretty equal. If I was buying one all over again it would come down to whoever is cheapest but the fast with its runner options is a nice deal.
The next big thing will be vararam and we'll see what that brings to the party. I think on a normal mild combo cam only light h/c whatever on a 346 with equal afr the two intakes will look like a mirror.

Here's the thing.... the MSD intake is now the 'best' intake on the market. Gains might be 10rwhp over a FAST, but it's still more.
For me, I had a FAST 90mm, so I wanted to upgrade since I was going with more cubes, and a bigger blower. So I went with the best available, which is the MSD.

Somebody like me, with an LS6 intake is more tempted by the MSD.
I personally like the looks of the fast better, but the MSD certainly looks like a more durable product: while I haven't had either in my hand, it just seems the MSD has a sturdier plastic, and the gaskets look better placed.
I'm really waiting to see a head to head on an LS1 though.

As somebody not in the market, but just looking at the options. If you have a stock intake, the MSD is a no brainer. If you aklreadys have a FAST 102, then it really comes down to wheather you want that last souple horsepower, and the money is not an issue. As interesting as the multi runer FAST is, for the vast majority is it not very useful. If you bought all the runners, you would need three different tunes to maximize it, and even then your cam head combo may favor one set over the other. Seems like a lot of hassle, might to be best to decide on a direction, pick a set of FASt runners, and not changes them. Just my impartial observations. Nice to see more options.

Those results were great, and I'm glad we finally got something that was truly "independent", but most of us guys are playing with LS1's, so the comparison isn't exactly apples to apples. I'm sure as time passes, we'll see some true comparisons related to heads/cam/intake LS1's.

So what would everyone due if you wanted to upgrade from a ported FAST 90mm???
I wish there was some good solid evidence as to which intake was the best. The MSD isn't bad looking but the red AIRFORCE logo kind of looks cheep. The FAST is more clean look. As far as price goes their are pretty close.
Also has anyone heard of having the MSD ported?

I have a hard time believing the vararam will fit on an f-body especially on the passenger side. There is little to no room back there unless you get rid of a/c and modify the air box.
I went with the Holley valve covers and the ls2/3 coils, and could not put the bottom bolt in #6 and #8 coils because of the lack of room.
As for the throttle cable bracket, MSD got it done and out the door to me pretty quickly considering I had the intake on day one of it's release.
