Yeah, I wouldn't drain it out. Too much of a waste. It(Belgium Castrol 0w30) is way out performing the mobil 1 5w30 anyway. That's what I had in there before so....

I did after I posted that. I wonder if that's a regional thing. I'm still yet to see any Castrol 0w40 here that isn't belgian. I know when you guys were having a hard time finding the GC 30 it was everywhere here.

If the GC 30 was closer to a 40...than wouldn't the GC 40 be thicker as well. With that being said...maybe the mobil 0w40 would be better. The vette guys love it. I think it's factory fill for z06's sold in Europe.
I'd still like to know how the belgian version stacks up against the german.
Anyone? Anyone?
It's kind of like castrol said: "Haha...let's **** with all the OCD guys that love our euro oils and switch the 0w30 and 0w40 refineries on them!" Sick bastards...

I think the 0W-40 made in Belgium is the remaining stock.

Yeah I know it sounds confusing but I swear that I read on here that Castrol 0w40 is a thin 40. Which is wierd because the0w30 was a thick 30. So wouldn't that make them very close? Yeah ii don't know.I saw the 0w40 at pep boys made in Germany . I just didn't pull the trigger cause all the manufacturers recommendations talk about a 4o being to thick for clearances in the ls1. But next time Im definitely picking it up.

I hadn't read that about the Castrol 0w40. I have seen it mentioned on the interwebz about Mobil 1 0w40.

So if the Castrol 0w-40 is a thin 40, wouldn't that be better if regular 40 is to thick for the ls1 clearances?

Yeah, I would think so. That's why I'm picking it up next time. But I'm sure someone who's more knowledgeable will chime in.

So I'm unable to find Castrol 0w40, but found Mobil 1 0w40 is there a reason not to use the Mobil 1?

Why not put all the German this, Belgium that, to rest and just run the Castrol Edge (gold bottle) that's readily available at ANY store you go to?

The Edge with Ti is no slouch whatsoever.

All this non-sense is like dating the hot bipolar girl. Sure she is fine AF, but is it really worth the headache? Doubtful. Just go with PP and be done!

It can be fun at times, but you are right; not worth the headache. Don't ask how I know this.

In my experiences, most women have a touch of bipolar. Some much more than others.

Mine doesn't, however, she knows 99% of my opinions, and probably agrees with 99% of them that pertain to women. So no worries!

You need to get her an official username so she can post on here.

My craziest one was a Catholic high school girl. She was crazy as hell, and when she drank, she got even crazier.
