For 150 bucks Macs are TOTALLY worth that and then some. I got 21 rwhp out of my Macs on a STOCK INTERNAL motor and they weren't even modded. 25-30 rwhp on a cammed motor should be a cake walk especially if you use better collectors and port out the "lip" on the primaries. Macs are an excellent value mod.

You might as well get LT's now. Because after a cam you will need them later. Coated Pacesetter's are really affordable, under 400 bucks. Especially if you buy those Mac's then sell them a little higher, make like 75 bucks or something.

Oh, and don't worry about getting true duels, they aren't worth the effort. Just go with a loudmouth and ORY. You don't need anything less restrictive than that. If you want more, put in a cutout for the track.

damn, smokin deal, im a LT fan but i dont think even i could of passed that up.

and C5 Forever: i've seen macs support plenty of power, if he ports them like josh said and runs the true duals i dont see him gaining much by switching over to LT's. and duals > y pipe setup in terms of power under the curve.

I have a set of Macs that I bought used with the Y pipe for 260. I like them and they are easy to put in (from the top). As for true duals, I guess they are ok if you don't drive your car anywhere (0 ground clearance). They make good power though and sound great.

I had a friend with Macs on his ATI procharged T/A and he put down 548 HP thru them. I made the below #'s without the LS6 intake, throttle body or a pulley. I think 390 is attainable with my T1. I just installed the LS6 intake and waiting for mt\y TB to get here. I will have it on a dyno as soon as I get my TB from Jantzer.

Good deal on the Macs!

Derek

I see you dove on those headers like I suggested

You will be happy with them, if you have any extra money left over, I'd suggest getting the flanges on them cut off and replaced. That will gain you another couple of hp. It's something I've been needing to do for awhile. Since you are getting duals done, have them do the flanges as well.

For $150 you'd be crazy not to get them! I had a set of MACs with my bolt-on set-up and loved them. Easy install, great ground clearance and about 20rwhp (with my factory cats welded in the MAC Y!). I sold mine for $300, so you are getting a great deal.
