Default Thought on intakes

Hi guys, trying to figure out if the ls6 intake would be my best option for the money, or what the best option is. Heads are in the future as well as a 200-250 shot.

1999 Z28 M6
347 rotating assembly (Callies Compstar H beams, and Mahle forged pistons), lid, LTs, cutout, TSP 228r @112, 42# injectors, hotwire kit, tuned by Lashway.

Looking forward to your input, thanks.

A good used Fast intake would be your best bet IMO

Moved to external.

FAST 102 would be the best option.

Does the cost difference justify the added benefits with my goals?

Well consider this...most LS6 intakes sell for around maybe $400 on average. I bought my ported Fast 90 with TB for $600. There are deals to be had if you are patient. So does the difference for maybe 15-20 hp sound worth it to you?

Just to be clear, you're saying the 90 or 92 would be 15-20 over the ls6? If that's the case, I can wait, and it's definitely worth it.

Yes a good ported Fast 90 or 92 should see that much over a LS6 on a setup like yours

No problem. And just so you know a good ported 102 should see another 5-7 hp over the 90/92 as well

you can never go wrong with a FAST intake as long as you want to pay.

I agree the FAST will make the most power, but keep in mind a brand new BBK SSI intake can be had for under $500, and flows better than the LS6 intake. Furthermore if by some chance later you ever happen to have a NOS backfire you won't have to worry about destroying it.
