It looks just like a FAST 90, even the top shell does, I'm curious to see what they dyno.

Well like I said before be patient and the price should come down. Once all the online auto part vendors have it . So far the Geek does not have it yet , they should be a player in this as they all jockey for position in the market. Autoplicity is the new price leader at $340

Measured the opening for the throttle body today and it's about 92 mm, my caliper was reading about 91.7.

I plan to send my broken LS6 to TPIS for the 90mm mod. I would love to see an apples to apples dyno compared to this intake after the Dorman is ported. If anyone would like to help out with this, let me know. I would be happy to supply the test mule and my time. We will need a volunteer for a dyno in the Houston area though.

Has anyone installed one yet? Im assuming the steam vent tubes on my 98 will be an issue just like with an ls6.

well I want to see some dyno numbers, or even visual comparison of some kind from ls6 or fast. according to what I have read from dorman that the ls2 was supposed to be better then THEIR ls6 replacement. that would be great news of it were true. and from what I have seen on the net that it looks 'different' from a stock ls2 manifold. Confirmation anybody? to go along with that everybody knows that a stock ls2 performs worse then a stock ls6. and from what I just read that one of you measured the opening at 92mm, very curious to see pics asap. very tempting.

Gently flatten the tubes. They'll still flow when done properly, and they won't get in the way. I did it when I installed my ls6 manifold and it worked wonderfully.

well ive been doing web picture browsing and the dorman looks nothing like a stock ls2. the stock ls2 runners are more rounded where the the dorman piece 'appears' to be more like a fast with steep upward runners that angle down. similar to a ls6 but more similar to a fast. I think im sold. very clever on dorman's end of the deal. don't buy fast's molds to make a copy for the 'performance aftermarket' but rebrand for oe replacement and not have to deal with legal issue as long as its not a "direct" copy and performs identical but close. I still would like to see dyno numbers. dorman ls6 vs dorman ls2 vs fast 90 but hey whatever.

LSD2 & WARR 92mm TB mocked up together...$335 for intake & $139 for Warr TB, can't wait to do some testing. I hope next week to get the LSD2 flow tested with a set of LPE S2 243 heads.

It's nice how the things like EGR and Vacuum ports are bolt on. Thanks for the pictures. Curious on the flow numbers you come up with.

My LSD2 is via Rock Auto online. Their price was $354, with the 5% discount code it was $337, ground shiping is was $7, next day was like $22. I got a quote from Autozone and that was oved $440. Not sure if AZ and the other chains price match or not.

I will either drop the intake off for flow testing next week then send it to Peak Performance for a little basic clean up porting. I want to have Peak port the WARR TB to ensure a perfect match to the intake. Ideally flow the intake again to see what the change is. If the flow testing gets expensive I may only to before or after. I also want to get my LSXRT & TBSS flowed with the same heads. I think this would be good info to share with the LS community. Cost will be the determining factor.

I will probably have to use the rear attachment point for the MAP. The intake's EGR port will be used for EGR attachment. Have to maintain emissions compliance.

WARR 92mm TB, seems to be a good piece to my casual inspection.

99, Are you going to put this on the same motor that has your TPIS modded intake now? If so, are you going to do a back to back dyno?

I can grab better pictures on Tuesday, travelling today and posted all the pics I had. It arrived just before I had to hit the road.

The intake has gaskets installed and install hardware. It all looked decent in the bag. There is an install instruction sheet with diagrams. Torque values are given, they are even molded into the intake top. There is a set of o-rings included that should be used with the fuel injectors to avoid vacuum leaks per the instructions.

I hope the LSD2 flows better than an OEM LS2, otherwise this one will end up in the classified section.

Cody, the TPiS 90mm LS6 w/ radical Peak porting will stay with the 91 RS's LS1 383. I'm very happy with the mod'd LS6 intake but it was too expensive for my budget to do another one for the TA. It would be a fun dyno test to do TPiS LS6 90 vs Dorman LS2 but I will leave the RS alone now that the car is fully sorted out for driveability and fun to drive. The RS project this year is getting a set of Fikse FM10's (17x9 front & 17x11) mounted and suitable tires. My girlfriend's son is hooking me up with his old set.

My 99 TA still has a standard LS6 & ported TB, I'm hoping the LSD2 will get the TA a few more hp. The TA still has the MTI mail order tune from 2002, so I figured when the TA gets valve springs, might as well retune and update in the intake.
