I'm pretty sure LS2 fuel rails and injectors would be needed for an LS1 swap.

What's the difference between the LS1 injectors and the LS2 injectors? My vette lost a lifter and it wiped the motor - so since I had to rebuild the motor anyway, I'm now in the process of building a 383 stroker, the stock heads ported by AI along with an AI cam at 232/244, and a forged bottom end for a future supercharger; Since I have the supercharger planned for the next set of upgrades, I wasn't looking forward to spending the bucks on a FAST intake - so this Dorman LS2 is just the ticket. But if I have to buy a new set of injectors to fit the Dorman intake, (I already have a set of 85 pounders), it kind of defeats the purpose.

I think injector length is different between LS1 and LS2.

In another thread, someone claimed that an LS1 fuel rail and injectors will work on the LS2 Dorman intake.

The LS2 injectors are shorter than the LS1. Since you already have the 85 lb injectors use them, But what fuel rails are you going to use is the question? Since the LS1 injectors are taller all you have to do is space the fuel rail up for the taller injectors. Most big box hardware stores have a selection of plastic or metal spacers you can use. I used some Ebay fuel rails like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-CHEVY-BIL...item48647eb173, and they were east to make fit. Notice the retaining bracket is on the side so they are easily adjusted for different injector height.

Its designed to use the LS1 rails and injectors , that's why Dorman supplies thicker O rings and fuel rail brackets for the LS2 application . For LS1 cars you don't use that hardware . Just drill the hole to mount the map at the rear. LS2 cars can mount in the front.

Has anyone got any proof of this yet? I'm hoping it's true because unless the manifold is just awful, that is pretty much a must-do for those of us with 1997-2000 LS1 intake manifolds still.

Yes, the is proof the LS1 rail & injectors fit the Dorman LS2 intake. I mocked it up a few days ago and forgot to post.

Will also share the flow data on the Dorman LS2 intake vs LS1 vs TBSS vs LSXRT in another thread, maybe later today.

I didn't bolt the fuel rail down but it sits like it was made for the intake.
I also founds a lot of flash in several bolt holes that has to be cleaned out or removed before putting intake on car.

Happy to share!

Dorman LS2 intake, LS1 intake, TBSS intake & 102 FAST LSXRT intake manifold flow data.

Ported LS6 cylinder heads, 28 inches, 4 inch bore and 92 mm WARR TB for testing. Please see this thread. There is a lot of data to post so it will take me a few posts.

I owe a special thank you to Bret and Land Speed Cylinder Heads for getting the testing done quickly and in a professional manner.

Thanks for the photos, and eagerly awaiting the results in the other thread. I think to save $600+, I can spend a few minutes cleaning up some flashing!

just look at all the idiots marking up the intake to $700 on eBay lmao. About to hurry and get mine from Rock auto tonight. Not about to let the dummies ruin something good before it gets started.

I'm loving those flow numbers!

Looks like RockAuto is still the cheapest place to buy. Unfortunately they want $90 in shipping so it still kicks the price up around $450 for me. Hopefully I can call in and get them to ship another way.

Better hurry. I just ordered mine this morning and used the discount code. Shipping was 7.99 for me. I'm in Louisiana so I guess they must be somewhere near me. Shipping still shouldn't be that high for you

Try this link for a code or search google for a coupon site. That was how I got 5% off etc.
