Help! Bad Oil Leak
Anyone whos done it without removing the intake.. i can see how it can be done but the electrical connector is a bitchhhh.. i cant get it off. Any Tips?
If you pull the intake and its a nasty mess under there, that's the PCV. replace the valley cover with an LS6 valley cover, and it'll really clean up your engine bay, ditch alot of hoses. Honestly, some of that leak could be the PCV.
Fired her up and no leaks for abt a min which made me happy.. so i decide to blip the throttle... and boom... leak. I did the home made pcv hose mod with the fuel line hose and a y fitting because the stock plastic one broke and was clogged with crud. the hoses dont feel wet with oil. Could it Valley Cover Gasket? can it leak that much oil?
@V8r i didnt see your post till after i did it lol. But looks like im going to have to pull the intake anyway.

Might be a rear main seal/rear cover leak..
If it's ever had work done to it and it wasn't aligned properly that could be the cause..
Worth a check

It's not likely for the valley cover to leak, but anything is possible.
If you see a bunch of oil looking like it's leaking where the starter bolts up, that can be the crank position sensor or the cam position sensor. They have these little o-rings in them that you can't see until you pull the sensor out. You'll need to pull the intake to get the cam position sensor. Pull the starter to see the crank position sensor.
So, if you do what Burken says - pull the starter and find that there is oil in the bellhousing, but the cam and crank position sensors are dry - that is almost certainly either the rear main seal or the rear engine cover.
