loudmouth......

the cutout will be louder but

a) it dumps right under you do its a lot of inside noise and drone (not fun)
b) the Loudmouth is really light compared to other exhausts
c) persoanlly I think the LM sounds better than a cutout

Do you still have CATs? If so, then you won't have any rasp and you should just install the LM and have fun. If not, then you might want to look into doing the following:

- get a used one thats in good shape (I got mine for about $225 shipped to me)
- then go buy a bullet buffler to put in place of the resenator (in the I pipe)
- if still raspy, then put two more in (one in front of each tip)

That will take just about any rasp out of the system and just give you a LOUD yet good sounding setup.

I had the stock Z28, a B&B, a BlowMaster (flowmaster) 80 serise before I fianlly got the Loudmouth. It was the only one I actually liked. Now I have an x-pipe and duals out the back and NOTHING compares, but if I HAD to go back to a y-pipe setup, it would be with a Loudmouth.

I say go with the CUTOUT. If you get Long Tubes and an ORY you will be sorry you ever bought and installed the Loudmouth. Plus the cutout, if you get the electric one, you can close if you get tired of the noise or when the cop pulls you over.

The drone all depends on where you install the cutout. My system will have no drone inside the car.

yeah i'm with the other guys the loudmouth is one mean sounding exhaust. but beware it does drone at 2000 rpms. But i'm sure the cutout would be just as bad or worse. they same a bullet muffler will eliminate most of the drone and be just as loud so there are options with it. This is how much I like it. I bought a Corsa Performance first and then one of my friends got a loudmouth and his car and it sounded much better than mine. So I sold my corsa exhaust and lost $300 dollars on it just to have a loudmouth. also if your car is a 6 speed you can kinda control the drone it is just bad at 2000-2300 rpms. yeah and evrey body thinks my car is built out the a$$ now to.

Electronic Cutout. Loud/Flow when you need it. Quiet when you want quiet.

Get the Loudmouth. It's not really all that loud to be honest with you, has a nice deep rumble to it, although around 2000 RPMs it does drone a bit, but if you have an M6 you can control the noise really well. Got mine on the highway and it was barely noticable. Plus it's just badass when people look under your car and don't see a muffler anywhere, they get a nice look on their face.

Don't get the Loudmouth - ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE HIGHWAYING ALOT! All these guys that tell you it isn't really that loud or that it doesn't drone or that there is no rasp are all LYING! One gentleman had a good suggestion, the Loudmouth with a bullet in place of the resonator sounds great. If you decide to go that route, I have a brand new bullet I will sell you for a song and a dance.

I had the Loudmouth and I did love it UNTIL I hit the highway for 20 minutes... Drove me INSANE! Then to top it off, I went with Long tubes... Talk about crazy loud and didn't even sound good. I ended up with LT's, ORY and Magnaflow - sounds great, no drone. I will be adding an electric cutout for the Flow #'s down the road.

What's better than queit and loud all with a flip of a switch?

And about controlling drone with an M6... Sure, you can eliminate drone by running the car a 2500RPMS or better... and literally watch you gas gauge drop... You decide. P.S. Gas is almost $2.50 a gallon???

I have the LM with headers and ory and its extremely raspy. I also like the cutout better because you dont have that annoying loud rasp at 2600 rpms; dont get me wrong its REALLY loud but its rasp and not tone. So to rememdy this problem im going to take off my exhaust system and run dumps directly off the collectors
