Those with CME please step in. I just had a muffler shop instal the dual tip CME in the place of my old quad CME. I don't have the new rear ground fx on, so I left the old ones on. I don't know if its just me or what, but the tips seem to hang a little low.
My question is: How much room should be between the bottom of the rear bumper and the top of the tips?

My brother had the quad system went with the duals and could not stand the ground effects it didnt look right, if they welded the CME in the exact same place as the quad it wont be close enough to the bottom of the bumper because the quad tips are at a slight angle get them to move it up.

You might also consider asking them to weld a piece of aluminum bar stock along the back of the tips to keep the tab weld from breaking... That is one of the things I will do when I get the chance on our OE CME...
EDIT: BTW I have precisely 1 1/2" all around the bumper piece...

Azrael: It actually came with that extra pc. on the back welded on. On top of that, it is brand new.

the tips look like they're in the right place. Check

If its the OE SLP then how did you get the Quad tip? There are two different CME exhaust bumpers, the one that comes stock on the SLP SS camaros from the factory, and the one you order from SLPs website... SLP DOES NOT sell their OE stuff unless you order direct from the plant with a valid VIN...

I just ordered a new rear valance pc from SLP to go with the new dual CME tips. When it comes in, I'll have to get it painted.
