Default Doing a wire tuck, what's this connector??

Got Ina rush during my build last winter so I've tore it back down to tuck all the wiring. Found this connector between the #2 and #2 fuel injector connections. Looks like it could easily be soldered together but I wanted to ask first.

That's an injector connector. If you had a terrible misfire you've found the culprit.

My picture is a little deceiving. I'm holding the connection for the injector. I was talking about the 3 wire connector below it. is that tied into the injectors?

Where is that harness running to?

The downward side toward the bottom of the motor is the direction I'm referring to.

Not confident I've ever seen it, and if I have it doesn't look familiar.

What's the vehicle?

It a 98 Camaro. The harness just runs alongside the passenger head. Has all the injector connections in it and something for the AC I believe on the end. That funny bracket your seeing on the head is the CBR alternator relocation kit.

The thing is that the wires coming into the connector are all the same color as the ones coming out. I don't see why I can't just solder them together and get rid of the big bulky thing but I would definitely like to know first.

That's exactly what it is. I deleted them years ago and I remember tucking the wires inside now. Thanks man!

I have wondered the same thing. It's hideous haha. I see no harm in soldering it all together. I don't know what it's for though either. I still don't know what to do with the ac plugs and wires. I hate to permanently remove those.

Figure anything out? I'm about to solder mine up like mentioned. Wish there was something I could do with the ac wires too. I no longer have ac.

It's the cam sensor wiring. For some reason the actual cam sensor plug runs to the male side, and the PCM is female side. If you test continutity you'll see what im talking about. Not sure why there is a connector inline with the cam sensor, maybe they thought some cars might have the cam sensor in the front? Idk.

I had a whole 98 harness apart to delete emissions and repin it for a 411, soldered those wires together and shortened them.
