Default Would you reuse these spark plugs?

I am finishing up putting headers, BH true duals, LS6 intake and SSRA on my 00 SS and I'm going back together with the car. These are ACDelco iridium with 13K on them(according to previous owner). Am I being cheap by wanting to reuse them? I plan to do a dynotune the car when I get it back together.

Is there any reason to purchase new plugs? I also did get some MSD wire because I destroyed the old ones when I removed them. So, part of me thinks I should get new plugs plugs and the other part of me thinks these plugs are fine.

The gap did vary from .050 to .065. That could explain the variation in buildup.

Plugs are cheap and kind of a pain in the *** to change in general so I would put new ones in and gap them at .040

Thanks fellas. I'll get new AC Delco or NGK std plugs. Sounds like thats what most folks run.

No. My engine had a miss from day one. Ended up changing the plugs which had a whopping 100 miles on them and VOILA! the miss was gone.

Buy some NGK and call it a day.

You said nothing to indicate there's a problem in that area. Based on that, I'd reset the gaps and reuse them. If you want to change them because plug changes are a PITA then you might as well stop the modding and sell the car right now...there will be tougher things to do than plug changes. But hey, just my opinion

Change the plugs and save yourself some headache down the road.

After what I've been through putting headers, BH true duals, LS6 intake and valley cover on this car, changing plugs is a piece of cake. My hardest part with changing the plugs was removing the plug wires because some moron didn't grease the boots. I destroyed 3 of the 8 wires.

I appreciate everyone's input. I will likely purchase some NGK TR5 plugs for $20 and move on. I do hate chunking $50+ in good plugs though.

No reason to throw them away. Clean em up, reset the gaps and you're good. Unless they're burned up, which they aren't, or the porcelain is cracked, which it isn't, then they're perfectly fine.

Plenty have gone 100k+ with those plugs on stock/light mods like his. His mods aren't enough to go to a different heat range so that's one less reason to change them also.
Maybe OP can send them to me and ill run them for a few years

I ended up getting new plugs but I bagged the used plugs and hanging on to them. I know I commented about swapping the plugs not being that big of a deal, but IMO the plugs are easy if you don't have to deal with plug wires. Once I got the plugs installed and the wires/coil packs all hooked up, I was glad I went with new plugs.

Maybe these old plugs will work in my Tahoe... piece of cake swapping them out.
