Default Intake manifold choices

Any other "budget" option out there other than a fast? Cant justify the price point for one. I am open to suggestions as im sure others as well! Btw this will be going on a 382ci stroker ls1 with prc225 cathedral port heads

Getting a used fast 90 or 92 after selling your LS6 really doesn't cost very much. That's still your best option IMO

Keep looking and you will. I sold my LS6 intake and TB for $400. You can get a used Fast with TB for maybe around $700 or so

Can't you reuse your stock rails with the MSD? Seems like that would bring the cost down.

I agree with the above. Go with a used FAST 90 or 92. Vengeance Racing did some tests on FAST 90 and FAST 92 intakes, and their tests showed no difference between the two when it came to HP/TQ. If you're patient, you'll find a used one for a decent price.

Has anyone had any good results with a victor jr and a low profile 90* elbow?

Do you have a cam yet? If not, then I'd consider it an option, but you'll want the cam spec'd for the single plane intake, as it's going to require much different valve events than a cam spec'd for a composite intake like the LS6 or FAST.

I think you're losing too much over a fast going with a Victor. Did you red the Hotrod article someone posted above?

Good luck, there is a guy local to me and he has the following...

$1200 firm fast 90 intake manifold ( samething as a 92mm ) new nick williams 92mm black dbc TB, ls1 injectors, fuel rail and new gaskets. it is painted black as in the pics.

He has been asking the same price for over a year for that setup. No way it's worth that and he is going to just sit on it.

There is a FAST 90/90 setup in the classified section on here. I believe he's asking something like $500.00 for the intake and $250 for the TB. He sounds flexible.

Yes. However, you may need bigger fuel injectors. What duty cycle are they at right now? Adding a better flowing intake will increase air, which will require more fuel via the tune, so your stock injectors may be maxed out.

I would buy the used intake posted above and find a TB elsewhere. I had major tuning issues with a Fast 90mm tb and found it wasn't an uncommon problem.

The IAC passage is too small and can lead to overshoots as the PCM tries to balance and maintain idle.

Yes, those will fit fine in it. The FAST 90 and FAST 92 will also allow you to use the fatter injectors. The FAST 102 however will not.
