Default Magnamouth with powerflos

Has anyone done this? I've done a search with no luck
I put longtubes with TSP ORY and loudmouth on my 99 WS6 last year and within a week I replaced the slp resonator with a magnaflow bullet. I like the sound of it but it's almost still too obtrusive to me. I was just wondering if anyone out there has added the powerflos to this setup and if so what they thought of the setup? Is love to hear a sound clip of that setup if anyone has it
What results should I expect by adding the powerflo?

Thanks

I remember someone posting about it in a thread. It wasn't a thread dedicated to it though.

I had the LM1 before and made a MagnaMouth. I left it at that as I loved the sound, but someone did do both. Pretty much as much as the magnapack cut the sound from the LM, the powerflow will cut it down again.

Isn't that basically the Powerflo exhaust? Two Powerflow mufflers and an LM2 resonator/bullet thing?

The Magnaflow 14419 is a LOT quieter and has more bass than the LM2 bullet.
Personally I'd like to hear it all together.

Might want to consider a larger and longer version of these. I just yanked this out from my Amazon order history. I put these on my big block suburban that has 2 chamber flow masters. It was down right obnoxious before, now it just sounds nice without any rasp or ridiculous volume.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

A lot of good reviews from people on Summit and Amazon who were looking to tone down obnoxious exhausts without killing sound completely. Quality is top notch BTW, I was very impressed for the price especially.

The LM resonator is much different in sound than the magnaflow one. I actually read your old post Dr. whighem before I swapped the resonator out for the magnaflow. It does make the sound better but for myself I'd still like to remove additional rasp and drone. That's why i was looking at the powerflo option. If I could go back to the very beginning before I added the LM i think i would have gone with the magnaflow cat back vs the LM but I'm beyond that now so figure I might just try to tweak what I have.
I'm really hoping someone else has added the powerflos to this setup and could provide some input

Why are you stuck in Powerflows if you don't mind me asking?

I'm going to guess it's because it's a plug and play option for the Loud Mouth Exhatst; everything will fit right in place.

Oh, I was under the impression that he wanted to add one in addition to the current muffler.

I'm thinking that's what he's wanting. Leave the Magnaflow in the I-Pipe and install the PowerFlow's at the tips. That's how it's designed from SLP, except they use a LM2 in the I-pipe.

Correct. It's plug and play on to my current setup. The other option I suppose would be to buy some mufflers and weld then in somewhere before the exhaust tips and then decide to either keep the magnaflow bullet or remove it and weld in a straight pipe.
I thought of powerflo simply for the plug n play simplicity.

I had the EARLY SLP setup that was the "good" Stainless (welded bullet, not clamped)

I say do it, brother. I'm not a fan of crossflow mufflers (Magnaflow / Flowmaster.)
Do it to it and post a before/after.

I am in the same boat you are in, almost. I have LTs and LM2. I don't mind the rasp as much as I mind the drone. The drone makes everything shake, including my brain. I've toyed with the idea of Borlamouth or Magnamouth but I can't get a straight answer on the drone aspect. I like these options because it is cheaper than buying a full exhaust. On my first LS1, I had SLP LTs with a Magnaflow muffler and CME. I thought it was quiet, so I installed a cut-out. My 2nd LS1 had Pacesetter LTs and the magnaflow cat-back. It was loud, but in a good way. There was a difference in the sound from my 1st LS1 to the 2nd. I think that was because the SLP LTs were stainless. My 3rd LS1 had stock manifolds with LM2 and I thought the drone was rough. Now, on my 4th LS1, I bought it with Speed Engineering LTs and the LM2. I want to get rid of the drone, and I'd be okay losing the rasp, but as I said, the rasp doesn't really bother me.

Well I can tell you, the MagnaPack will kill the rasp. Drone is just bass from the exhaust. You might consider adding hi flow cats or as OP said, the Power Flow

How bad is the drone with the magnamouth? I thought it was significantly better.

Personally I had no issue at all. I ran TSP 1 7/8" with a modded TSP Y and I loved it. OP says he has a bit of it though and looking to alleviate it. I mean for ME, yeah I guess there was a hint but again, for myself, it didn't bother me at all. I enjoyed starting the car and setting off car alarms bc of the bass

I love the sound when you start it cold and at idle and above 2500rpm but around 2200rpm it sounds like a metallic machine gun. It is much better with the magnaflow bullet. I will say that but if I could get rid of that 2200rpm sound it would be perfect.

Yes I love the cold start up too that will set alarms off.

I don't have drone at that RPM range...My drone is bad in 6th gear around 1500 rpms...Anywhere between 60-70. If i reach 70 and go a little faster, it goes away.

I have the Powerflo system, but I have a Borla XR1 in the I pipe, not a Magnaflow. I think you should go with the Powerflo addition based on that you want. It cuts down on drone and gets rid of that awful rasp that these cars have.
