All of our rear suspension/chassis products are up for the Camaro & Firebird. Front A-Arms and K-Member are probably a month out.

So I installed the system over the weekend. Heres my take. Unfortunately I didnt take any photos because the first time the exhaust guys installed it, it hung too low for a stock car. My car is a Cali car and I plan to keep the car smog legal as possible. It has JBA Shorties with Magnaflow high flow cats. What I ended up doing with the system instead was full on weld on. I used an SLP Y pipe, cut it at the merge, used 2 2 1/2 to 3 exhaust reducers to weld onto the x pipe. The problem with the system is hardware but we all are aware of that. I feel that the exhaust rubber hangers provided by Speed Engineering are far too weak to hold the system to hold. I had to use some clamps around the rubber clamp to make it sturdy until I decide to buy better rubber hangers. Overall I rate the system 7/10 just because I knew I was going to have to modify the system in order to make it work with what I want with the car. I wanted to have a true dual system for the longest now and I must say Im content with it. If I didnt have smog laws to worry about, Im sure I would of had LTs without having to modify this system. Ill probably keep this for a while now till I decide again to switch exhaust systems. Madhammer perhaps? well see. Just my 02. Thanks.

Quieting
Read (breezed some) through all 800+ posts. Lots of recommendations on how to "potentially" quiet this TD down to a conversation allowable level.
Finding replacement compact 'mufflers' that seem they may significantly help is impossible.
any successfully attempts? I really like this exhaust for classic sound and no rasp.
any thoughts around choking the exhaust down to 2.5" for a few inches towards the back?

2 things you can do. Add cats and i found a muffled tip that I'm gonna fit up just so i don't have the same tips as erryone else. Plus with it being muffled it should help a little. Strangely this exhaust seems quieter w/o dual tips.

I think the dual tips act as megaphones.

Sure man. Cats will for sure quiet it. I won't have results on my muffled tips for bit tho.
they do. I did a highly scientific test by making car noises into the tip beforei installed them . I was louder wgen making car noises into the tip vs not.

LOL! I am ALMOST embarrassed to say I have done that! With the same results.... Gotta say, I came up with some pretty cool exhaust sounds....

I rarely if ever give my two cents here but I bought the system based on comments from this thread. I installed the system myself in my garage. The car already had Hooker Super Comp ceramic headers with custom 3"catted y and a very old Flowmaster muffler. Archaic I know. The car has Hotchkiss lowering springs. I have two speed bumps to cross in my neighborhood and the y pipe would occasionally drag slightly when crossing them. I am very pleased with the results and the quality for the money spent. I installed 3" cats which required a simple modification of two pipes and added one extra support which I'm not even sure was necessary. Clearance between the gas tank and relocation bar is a little close. I swapped out the provided fasteners for Grade 8 stuff and have substituted a few of the wide double fastener band clamps at certain joints in place of the provided clamps. After much tweaking and tightening I cleared both speed bumps the first time out and haven't scrapped them yet. That for me was the litmus test. It sounds awesome and the increased seat of the pants response with the SC is very noticeable. On top of that I have had 3 unsolicited reviews from random people that remarked that the car sounds great! Thumbs up to Speed Engineering.
