SLP and ZO6 MAF interchangeable?

When I looked at Pace, they didn't have the Zo6 MAF listed anymore. I replaced my factory MAF due to lean codes. The Zo6 never threw a lean code. Maybe it runs rich, I dunno.

yes, yes, and yes. the slp is to be used as a bolt on replacement. plug and play. if youre gonna get a tune then go with a stock 85mm maf. the slp allows more air to enter the engine without the pcm increasing fuel mixture therefore causing the stock tune to lean out some and increase power some.

Just want to chime in and say that on a heads/cam/bolt on LS1 I saw literally no measurable gain going from the LS1 MAF with screen to a 85mm with an aftermarket low restriction straightener screen

Unless the car is making 470rwhp+ the hassle of switching and tuning (or hoping the tune is close enough) is not worth it at all

Just my $.02 since I operate with a heavy "bang for buck" mindset

The lid I have requires a larger MAF because the oulet size is larger than stock.

agree times infiniti with this statement. cost versus 5 hp increase. living on a budget keeps the 1k headers, exhaust, and intakes out of reach lol.

with the lid setup you can get a coupler that fits the lid and reduces down to the size of the maf.

I've read elsewhere that the original Fbody MAF is discontinued and that GM listed the Zo6 as the replacement MAF. If that's correct, GM must think that they are pretty close on the electronics side of things.

That would be no kind of true. Calibrations not at
all the same. Maybe somebody at GM screwed up,
but my money's on Internet Bullsh!t.

Now if GM put out a 85mm-body, 75mm-calibration,
no-"screen" part, that'd be good to know. But a
"Z06 MAF" would not be that (calibration).

How much is this "coupler", and are they readily available? Just be a 75mm-85mm transition, essentially?

If you look anyplace that sells turbo bellows/elbow they should either a "reducer" coupling or I have in the past purchased some little silicone rings which work like a shim, the piece slides over the smaller pipe (maf end in your case) and then the normal bellow tightens over it.

I can't for the life of me remember the term for what one of those would be called.

Reducer is good. Ive used reducers of sorts with compression fittings before. The shims sound kind of iffy. I like the larger MAF though because it is designed that way, to fit the larger outlet.
