It has a separate lower as well and one side is ported/transitioned, the other is out of the box as is with that huge step. It has ALOT of meat on the lower to match quite a large port.
I will be making a thread on what ive found and kind of a porting guide so to speak also. Ive got LOTS of nud....i mean bare manifold pictures to post as well, both before and after the wittling.
The DLS2 is getting revision 2.0 this weekend also.
Having actual port dimensions would help quite a bit, so id you get the chance Black Bird, can you measure width and height of that lpe cathedral port?
Ill link the thread on here also...for Science of course.
Here is the thread. Quite a few more pics to post, but Mondays always suck for time.

Sorry I haven't got the measurements yet...I'm moving last weekend/this week and it's been very busy. The LPE TPIS LS6 with 90mm snout arrived today!

Here’s a link to something interesting. The tbss was Dyno tested against the dorman ls2 and their power and power curves were almost identical.

I know you probably don't have plans to , or if it's at all possible ? But I sure would like to see your 1st LS2D flow tested along with the 2nd LS2D that you ported .And if the the ws6 store submit their revision that would make three LS2D intakes to draw from .it would be interesting to see if there is any difference between between early and later production and various states of porting.

I came here just to bump this thread. I spend most of my time on Corvetteforum. Thank you so much for the hard work and data you have produced. I am on the fence right now deciding between the Fast 92, 90mm LS6 and Dorman LS2 intakes. I can't wait to see the flow numbers for the modified LS6 manifold. I'm getting all the parts together for my LS1 H/C/I build and can't decide what direction to go for the intake manifold. Your testing will help me make an informed decision, so again thanks!!!

couple things caught my interest.. the bars installed to help the ls3 intake flow much better. Would this same modification help a TBSS style or any other intake? Someone ( big hammer) mentioned a ls3 intake on a ported cathedral head which I'd really like to see that test vs a regular cathedral intake since the adapters are so popular now for LSA swaps. Any plans to add a Radical Ported ( or regular ported TBSS also, BUT it appears motorhead Mike is doing so already!) TBSS to the mix vs a LSXR or something? My money would be on the ported TBSS intake being neck and neck with a LSX 92, LSXR or even a LSXRT. And with the right shopping, a TBSS can be found for 150-250 complete, then porting for 425-495. In for results on future testing, thanks for an awesome thread so far.

Hey Black Bird, were you going to get a chance to test a Super Vic against the others? I have one that I am putting on my 427 that's still in the box. I can cover shipping to and from as long as I get it back with no damage.

Let me know!

Chad

Chad, a Super Vic would be a fantastic test! I have the TPIS 90mm LS6 that still needs to be tested as well. WS6STORE may also have something to test.

Between the TA getting stolen, recovered with engine damage, engine repairs, moving and mass layoffs at work I've not had much time for testing lately.

I will touch base with shop and see when works.

Holy cow man, sorry for the string of bad luck. Keep your head up and pray for the rest of 2018 to be the best year ever!

Just let me know when you want me to send it, I got it covered. I will throw in $40 cash to ship it back to me, that should cover the shipping and fuel cost traveling to the Post Office!

Cheers bro!

The shop doing the testing has relocated and available to do flow testing again

I plan to visit the shop this weekend and get the TPiS/LPE LS6 90mm intake flow tested on the GMPP/LPE heads. I'm also taking a Wegner LS2/799/LS6 NASCAR head with titanium valves to test with the 90mm LS6 intake.

Hopefully, if all goes well, I will be able to get some additional flow testing done on additional intakes in the near future. I greatly appreciate the offers to provide intakes for testing and hope to flow up on them very soon

Slowly my 99TA is getting the 416 repaired that the car thief destroyed and I hope to focus on more manifold testing as the repair wraps
