Plugs and Wires Replacement
What is the best way to reach the dreaded #8 spark plug? Ive changed my plugs before on another car, but left the 8th because I couldnt reach it! Was able to replace the wire, though.
Ive read about cutting a hole in the firewall on the passenger side interior. Also read about using a bunch of extensions/swivels. Ideas?
I have a misfire code and also a low idle/startup issue when the engine is warm, fires up first or second try everytime cold. When warm itll idle really low for a second sometimes upon startup.
Kind of concerned about it not starting up first crank also. Sometimes it takes a second and sometimes I might have to return to off igition and crank again.

Loosen the coil pack bracket at the rear, take the bolt all the way out on the front and slide the bracket up. On '98's remove the #6 and #8 coil packs completely. I climb up in the engine bay, put my knees on top the battery, and go in after it. I can do all 8 plugs in 30-45 mins, but it usually takes just 20 mins. on just #8. Gotta be patient...

#8 was pretty easy for me. I had my car on ramps and replaced it from underneath. It was tight but was much better than from the top in my case. I also used a ratchet that swiveled on the top. Just like the one in the image below.
