Default Easy Way to remove excess oil?

I rushed an oil job on the camaro today and put about an extra half-quart of oil I'd say (about 1/8" over the full on the dip stick)

I tried my Boat's oil extraction tool (used to suck oil out the dip stick hole) but it didn't go far enough into the pan to suction anything out.

I'm curious: is there an easy way you guys can recommend to get the extra oil out? Or do I have to get it back up on ramps, pull the drain plug and drain some out?

I wouldn't worry about 1/2 qt. . The engine has a windage tray to prevent much whipping of the oil, and 1/8 inch is not that much rise in level

Many members here run a solid 6 qts that will show over full on the dipstick. You'll be fine.

Ah: that's my issue: I'm about an 1/8 or so over the top cross hatch.
