HA
My original went bad and took out my alternator.
I went with an advanced auto one that ran for a while and took a dump. Replaced it with a warranty one from Advanced. The pully disintegrated and took that one out.
I bought two rebuilt AC delco units from Rock Auto, both bad out of the box.

I am on another Advanced Auto PS pump and running well so far.

If this one goes bad I can only see buying a turn one PS pump or a brand new AC delco for $200 WITHOUT reservoir. You will have to buy reservoir separate.

If you get an answer advise.

Unfortunately, the F-body pump has been discontinued by the manufacturer. We are working on a replacement pump. In the mean time, we can rebuild your existing pump and, if needed, upgrade it to reduce horsepower consumption and reduce fluid temperature.

Thanks,
Junior

That looks to be a good option, but unfortunately they are in back order at the moment.

The standard rebuild for your pump starts at $150, and the upgraded rebuild starts at $200. Turn around time is about a week.

Thanks,
Junior

Is there a guarantee on them? I would probably go the upgraded route. What all do you do the pump?

We stand behind what we do 100%. If the pump fails due to our workmanship within 30 days, we will repair/replace it no cost.

If you go with the upgrade, the pump will be upgraded to reduce horsepower consumption, reduce fluid temperatures, and we will increase the pressure of the pump to handle higher wheel loads.

Thanks,
Junior

Turn One pumps are good, but if you decide for whatever reason to not go with their pump, at least buy their billet pulley. That makes the job of replacing the pump so much easier (i.e. my car has the power steering cooler and it is a pretty tight space to work). Plus it looks cool, lol.

Is it a direct replacement that uses the same belt as stock?

Yes, our billet aluminum pulley for the 98-02 F-body is a direct replacement for the factory pulley.

Thanks,
Junior

Ok, go ahead and add that to my upgraded pump. The stock pulley is a pain in the butt.

We're happy to provide any information you need. I'd suggest you first read through the Pump Rebuilding page on our website, which outlines the different rebuild options and costs for your pump. https://turnonesteering.com/rebuildi...mp-rebuilding/

I only wish I had used Turn One's services from the beginning. My buddy's shop replaced my pump with a reman because my original was leaking. The reman leaked worse than the original. They installed another reman. That one failed after about four months. Next stop was a Cardone new unit. So far so good in terms of performance, but the thing is noisy as hell, like the pump on my M6 car gets when really hot.

I had looked at Turn One pumps, but shied away from them because they seemed to expensive for a 170k mile car. Don't repeat my mistakes. Do it once, do it right. Turn One.
