Installing 4" Mufflex Help
Hello, I recentley bought a 4" Mufflex Spintech system and I am going to install it this weekend. I am also replacing my headers with Dynatech headers to I can use the y-pipe that I got on the buy. I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on how to install this system? Any help is appreciated. I am replacing the 2.5" flowmaster exhaust on the car. Thanks.

I would sell what you have , you should be able to get your back out of it. And go with a stainless truck kit , then get a single straight through stainless muffler , exit on the driver side. Here is just one truck kit that can be converted, Im not going suggest a certain brand muffler as there are many.

Aww hell, give the guy a break. Run the Spintech for a bit and if you don't like it cut it off and get another 4" muffler. I've got a similar kit from Hawks for a single in/out 4" with a turndown tucked up at the bumper instead of tips out the back that's going to go on my car. No need trying to resell a kit thats already made to fit the car to then turn around a buy a kit designed for a truck that will require fab work to fit on an fbody, just my opinion though. I will agree however, the spintech mufflers arent the greatest choice, kinda like a chambered flowcrapper.

Well to each his own opinion , But I don't like doing the same work twice .If he is going change mufflers why not get it right the first time. The system I recommended is about the same money, but its stainless .
And he can design it where he wants it to exit and if he wants a tip or hidden. We do agree on a couple points the single in/out is better and the Spintech muffler is not the best choice. But if stainless is not important to him and he does not care that it does not flow the best , run with it.
