A little progress today between filling holes and porting and porting more oil pumps. Busy week and busy weekend!

Some reason it has 2 vacuum ports on top, so the extra non fpr one gets shaved and filled. On dbw setups theyll both get shaved and filled.
80mm bbk tb coming in next week to check fitment issues.

Whats the point of the 80mm tb? I measured the TB opening and its 78mm I believe jus the same as the stock TB. The 2mm gained by the TB will just get choked down into the intake opening... unless you open it up but its only a 2mm gain.

What are you filling the holes with?

The holes are being plastic welded by other parts I have cannibalized from other nylon intakes. Cheap, easy, amd effective.

The extra 2mm matters alot in total overall volume. I have seen multiple tests showing gains and had customers ask about them, so why not?

I have contoured the tb opening a bit already so it should not take much more to make it work.

I would like to shave some more, but this is for a customer soon, so the next one will have a better look.

When this isnt the only thing i can focus on, it does get put on the back burner. It will be sent to flow soon along with our ported Dls2. The waiting isnt just because of me but for Wade to get re-settled and get his priorities fixed as well.

dorman Truck is about on par with the TBSS intake. The super cheap knock off superauto one was flow tested on A LS3 head I believe and it flowed the same if not more down low than the TBSS and the TBSS has a 90mm TB opening. The dorman rocks a 75mm.

What test was that, did they use a adapter for the LS3 head , do you have a link for the test.

sorry they were cathedral port LS6 heads. They tested a bunch of cathedral port intakes (ls1&ls2).
