FAST 102 on a stock LS1
Long story short, I have two now. Using the newer one on my H/C 6.0, but I was thinking of using my old one on my stockish 5.7. Since the top shell is somewhat deformed, i would feel bad selling it. I did plan on doing a mild H/C setup eventually on my 5.7, so this would definitely be a "room to grow" mod instead of a "lets spend 800+ bucks for 3 horsepower" mod on a car that isn't even max effort.
Did some research on these forums, and didn't come up with much on this specific situation. Quick questions:
#1. I did find a thread where someone gained with a FAST 92 on a stock LS1, but not much. There is no data re: FAST 102 gains on a stock LS1. Anyone have any experience with this?
#2. Currently running ford green tops. I have heard these don't fit, or that the intake needs to be modified for them to fit--or is this only with the FAST truck intake? I know that i'd need to run bigger o-rings, and an LS2-style rail with some spacers of course, but beyond that, will they fit? How "off" will the injector angle be raising the rail up slightly?

A 102 doesn't really gain on a bolt on ls1 over a 92 but it will gain over the ls6 or ls1 intake
You'll need an ls3 or ls2 fuel rail. And you'll need thicker lower orings
If the injectors you have currently work in a stock ls1 or ls6 intake, they should work in the 102. You will just need said thicker lower orings, and washers between the intake and fuel rail

Maybe relevant, maybe not.
I recently put a fast 102 on a bone stock ls2, because it was laying around. The intake it replaced was a stock ls2. I have some other issues on the car to correct, so no before/after numbers, but the midrange is heads and shoulders better - until it gets heat soaked and pulls timing. Top end does it feel like it gained near as much as the midrange SOTP.
Did much better after dialing in the VVE vs stock.

I read it somewhere a while back that it was good for a couple hp over the 92 on a bolt ons LS1, but obviously neither one really shines much until you start opening up the motor more

I went w/ the ported 92. The few experienced people i inquired w/ said it was a better option for a stock cube motor, but ive also seen testes where the 102 had it by a few horsepower. Either way it wont be much plus you'll need a few other parts to make the 102 work.

An LS6 manifold is ALL a stock LS1 needs. FAST might gain a little if any, but for the money is overkill.
