Oil filter wrong
i have an ls6 block with 241 heads, my oil sump wasnt the original i found out.
Anyway, ordered a HP1007 k&n oil filter and it wont screw on. The filter that came off ADA102112 blueprint one, has a very slightly larger thread around 1mm bigger then the HP1007 filter.
My number on the sump is 12624617 but no date on it.
Any ideas what i should fit or what it should be before i just order a new Blueprint one ADA102112?
Many thanks for any help

You put your oil filter number into the Manufacture Part Number column and then it tells you all kinds of things about your oil filter.Your ADA102112 has a 22x1.5mm thread, the Wix equivalent filter number is 57060.
The K&N HP1007 has 13/16-16 thread, and will not fit your oil pan.
The PF46 also has 13/16-16 thread, and will not fit.
The PF48 has the 22x1.5mm thread you are looking for and is the same size. Hence the Wix filter is also 57060.
This website is very useful, I'd bookmark it and take a closer look at it. It should prevent you from buying the wrong oil filter next time.

US based stuff tends to be 13/16....some old Rover or K-series filters will fit that
Some newer stuff incl Monaro etc will be M20....small Citroen filter would be common.
And would ya believe, the female thread in the pan was M20 anyway, they adapted it to suit what would be a more common filter in the US.
Cant comment on later stuff though, it could well be M22.
Easy to measure the male thread to see.
