Disappointing results with ram air
as far as compared to the FRA mod I had before neither trim bettered that best run but the weather was not near as good
FRA best was 7.14 in the 1/8 but in 250 DA low humidity
Race trim ram air 7.21 in 2300 DA 100% humidity
So whatever that's worth

Its a lid from the factory, more or less.
If I bought a regular LS1 Bird and it had no Ram Air, I would just get the SLP Lid.
If you have a Ram Air box, just get a K&N filter for it.
I thought LS1tech had an article where they took a Ram Air car and pushed it to crazy speeds and at like...150MPH or higher is only where it made a difference... helped like .05%.... anyone remember that?

He's right. It's been a marketing tool for GM and other since the late 60's, early 70's. I remember the article you are talking about. You would need to shove a tremendous amount of air into the CAI to increase the pressure or Ram the air into the engine.
