I've had my QTP for about 6+ years and it's still kicking, though it's been showing it's age and has been pretty slow. Which is probably a result of it coming off while I was driving and skipping across the interstate. Still works though!
The DMH I had before it was definitely faster, but it was impossible to get a hold of their customer service when I was trying to buy a new motor after mine got ripped out.
eBay cutout here and works fine. I just ordered a new motor/flange etc as a backup with harness for a whopping $23. I could replace the motor 10times and still be out ahead of a QTP or DH cutout. I opted for a switch as I like hard wire vs key fob (don’t need to be fumbling for a key fob when I want to get frisky).
It really depends on where you plan to put it. The faster ones are geared different and don't close as hard. If they don't have much back pressure when closed you'll never notice. Remeber when people talk about longevity with something like a cutout, there's a retard born every day. A cutout's lifespan is very dependent on the user using it correctly. I have a Borla specific QTP and it has worked flawlessly for years now.
