Default Belt tensioner

Hello everyone, i just wanted to see if anyone had had any experience with the gen 2 ICT belt tensioner or is the katech worth the extra $ anyone had experience with both seems theres a few mixed reviews on the ICT but nothing on the new design. Thanks everyone

FWIW, I've been using using the Katech unit on my 00 Firehawk for the past 13 years and haven't had a problem with it.

thanks! I may just spend the extra and get the katech, since there isn't much on the gen 2 ICT.

That’s good to hear cause I just broke my 2nd tensioner in a year , I’m gonna step up to the katech version now.

I'm sure the Katech is better and that would be my choice.

Autozone still had the OEM belt tensioner for the main and AC available last year. Less than forty bucks each.

this is the reason why I’m ordering the katech version now, this tensioner is around a year old and it snapped off after I lost the belt driving home.
