Default Fast 92 with 92 TB...what lid and elbow ?

Seems the 92 intake and TB throw the geometry off from the stock ....bought a SLP lid cuz they are soooo much better than stock....after fighting to get the MAF on it ( major PITA ) and the plug grommet they give you to cover the AIR hose hole ( second PITA ) I put it on only to find out IT WILL NOT WORK .....the angle is so extreme I cant think of any fix besides major surgery on the lid and SLP elbow I got....but I refuse to chop up a 100$ piece of plastic for fear it wont work ( took the lid back to summit )

re fitted the stock lid and figured the stock bellow elbow will work ( barely ) but not what I really wanted cuz I think the stock pieces kill air flow

if you have this combo what are you using ?

Currently using some cheap Ebay bellows and an SLP lip on my Fast 90/92. No fitment problems after cutting the bellows to length.

if it was not for the weird angle i think any bellow would work.....changing the center line of the angle of the MAF to the center line of the TB is next to impossible

Im using a GM 85mm MAF, FTP 98mm Lid, and Couplers from SiliconIntakes.com for my 92-92 set up. Along with T bolt clamps from the silicon place.

You need an adapter that looks like the SLP smooth bellows.

yours looks like a straight shot from the lid to the TB.....no ...or little....angle to it at all

I have the non solid spohn mounts with polys....i know that raises the engine a bit over worn out rubber mounts

what MAF is that ? looks to be shorter than the metal or truck plastic one

and time to lose your stock PS cooler before it leaks and takes out the pump and rack !!!

Makes me wonder if the SLP lid has a different angle than the Fast Toys lid?

Just looked at number on MAF. It's 25168491. The 85mm unit. It looks to be plastic on one side & metal the other.

The SLP lid does have an extra bend. I still have it I'll take a pic next to this one. Give me a minute.

No P/S cooler thing? Never heard of one going bad but I don't like that as the new turn one pump just went in.

Here's a pic of the SLP lid on. You can tell with the MAF on it would be down like yours. It was the only reason I got the new lid, because the SLP didn't fit with new intake. Some people figure a way to get it but the FTP lid is bigger & better anyway. It does start to touch the hood but pretty normal. Also just another angle with the FTP lid. It fits straight/perfect. I take it on & off all the time. I just don't like telling people exactly what to buy as it's your car. Hope this helps a little.

it looks like your coupler between the lid and MAF takes a little downward jog....but not so much it cant handle

is that MAF shorter ?

and the cooler leaks coolant into the P/S system contaminating everything....not a question of if...but when.....so be proactive and take it out....plenty of threads about it here.....that turn 1 pump is to $$$$ to ruin ( i have one too )

looked up that MAF.....looks like the one SLP used to sell
