Need O2 Sensor Advice for Long Tube Headers
On my 2001 Camaro SS (5.7 LS1), I am putting Speed Engineering long tube headers with their 3" pipes and mufflers to the rear, and I am seeking advice on whose upstream O2 sensors to use. I have read enough on similar posts here to know this gets people into trouble--engine codes, etc.
For reference: Best o2 sensors for ls1? (lts+ory)
When I go to popular online sites such as Summit and Jegs, they show different sensors for left and right upstream sensors. I am confounded by why they wouldn't be the same. Other posts here have scared me of using Bosch sensors, and have me wanting to try Denso's.
Summit shows Denso 234-4025 for upstream left, and Denso 234-4087 for upstream right... why wouldn't they be the same? (I am worried that the distinction might not apply to a vehicle running headers.)
Thanks in advance.

Don’t forget to order u some extensions so that they’ll reach upstream from the headers. But if ur not running cats there is no point in running O2s past ur headers; in this case u would need those O2 simulators. But I would recommend cats and some thermal tape to place right above them.
