not a big drop.......I think the LS2 is going to need a new TB (think its a 4 bolt version) so its not going to be a high volume thing......

No, because the LS1 intake is just as expensive as the LS6...GM doesnt really mess around with price changes due to demand.

I thought it would drop when the LSX cam out, and it did not. So no, I don't think it will.

I think the price of used ls6 intakes will drop if the ls2 is cheap enough for a lot of people to make the switch.

The LS6 wouldn't drop because the LSX is an aftermarket part.

Performance does not drive the cost of GM parts. GM parts are mostly used to repair damaged vehicles, or vehicles where the owner does not know or care what part is put in, they just want the OE part. That's what drives those prices. Performance upgrades using OE parts is a niche market that usually car manufacturers could care less about.

I thought they would drop as well...when I wasn't sure if I should wait and get the 78mm FAST intake (relaize now that it might not show enough gains over an LS6 intake on a mild bolt on car) I figured the used LS6 intakes would drop in price but it didn't really happen.
I was still fortunate enough to find one from a friend for only $250.00 but I still need the coolant pipes and plugs, anyone know who has them the cheapest?

The LSX is so much more expensive, that if anything, the price of the LS6 could have gone up. Only cheaper products make prices drop as a general rule of thumb. Now if they sold the LSX for say $500 than you probably would see a price drop in the LS6.

I still don't think they will drop the price. They should sell the LSX for almost nothing. I am waiting for this cool sounding BBK to come out and get tested. I have always like the quality of BBKs products, plus it sounds like their pricing is fairly realistic.
