Alternative to FlowMaster Super 10s?
Hi all,
Looking to make my Z28 much louder and have been looking at FlowMaster Super 10s as that the loudest they make and I have read good things about them + various videos on the sound etc
Question is Are there any other comparable mufflers from other manufacturers in terms of noise level , i.e their loudest? If you could be specific that would be great e.g. magnaflow xyz
It currently has a very large Magnaflow muffler (I will try to find the specs/measure it when I can) which is ok but not loud enough and I have been trying to see what magnaflows answer to the Super 10 is not no luck.
Does anyone have experience with a very aggressive muffler on a stock LS1, mine is totally stock except the muffler and tips.
Thanks

Could you fit an slp loudmouth resonator on it? They are pretty loud on the catback.

Borla 40085 - Borla XR-1 Racing Mufflers,Dynomax Performance 24222 - Dynomax Race Bullet Mufflers
MagnaFlow 14159 - MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Race Series Mufflers these are commonly used very aggressive mufflers used. Of course they are not compatible with having factory style dual tips and usually just have a dump tip by rear axle. They sound really good with factory manifolds/cats but get very very loud with LT/ORY. SLP loudmouth is what people go for if they want a whole catback with very aggressive sound.

Thanks guys,
I checked the paperwork and I have the Magnaflow 16723 kit, with a 5" x 8" Oval Muffler Offset In/Dual Out: 3" /2.5" Body Length: 18" Overall Length: 24" Core Size: 2.5" Polished Finish https://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/16723/10002/-1
They describe this as moderate in sound so that makes sense at least as its nice but not loud.
Definately leaning towards the FlowMaster Super 10s with 2 outlets, 3 inch inlet and twin 2.5 inch outlets to match piping and then only abit of extra piping would be needed.
Thanks guys

I don't know what your sound laws are like, but Series 10 Flowmasters are usually too loud to be legal in most places, even with cats in the system.
