Default Need help with Raptor Shift Light

2001 LS1 Trans Am.

Have the Raptor light set to 4 cylinder mode (1 off 2 on 3 off) because LS1s send dual signals.

For testing, I set the rpm to 3000.

Tach signal wire is pin 10 on red connector...white wire.

Shift light comes on and does the self test but will not come on at 3000 rpm.

Checked voltage on signal wire. 0.05 volts.

What am I missing?

Is there an alternate point I can tap for tach signal?

I'm thinking the tach signal is too weak.

Which wire are you getting your tach signal from? I installed my Raptor shift light years ago and haven't had any problems with it. I grabbed a wire off the PCM but I can't remember which one at the moment.

That's exactly the pin and configuration I have. Thanks for the pics to confirm.

I'm going to try a coil wire signal wire.

I tried the 1K ohm pull up method as well...didn't work.

Have you contacted them? Unless they have changed their design since I bought one, I can't see why you would have to do anything different or special. Maybe yours is faulty.

Yeah I contacted them...they don't know wiring diagrams on cars. Just their own product. They just keep saying Pin 10 white wire.

What is the difference between stage i and stage ii lights?

I'm sure you've already found this, but it's useful information if anyone ever does a search for a similar problem and finds this thread.

https://www.raptorperformance.com/pa...install-camaro

Also, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, it has all the PCM Pin assignments...

I spoke with Raptor...they told me to try the injector signal wire but set the light to single cylinder. Going to try that tonight.

Green wire with black stripe on passenger side. Set shift light to single coil.

Works perfectly.
