TRUE duals, no x-pipe or h-pipe
In my application(4wd truck), it would allow the exhaust to be tucked higher, and not be scraping on every little bump. Also, if designed right, serviceability would be improved, since each side could be removed/reinstalled independently, for easier access to the transmission, etc.
Any dyno data or sound clips would be appreciated.
I don’t race and on the street the little power loss IF any, is not a concern for me.
I had both configurations on the same car (Impala SS) Now having H-pipe, but want to remove it to install separate intermediate pipes.
I also helps isolate issues when engine runs bad as each tail pipe is a completely separate engine bank, helps to point isolate misfire, bad O2 sensor, etc.
Big single exhaust on F-body sounds good too.
I definitely won't be installing duals with a crossover. If I feel it's worth crossing over, I'll run single exhaust.
