exhaust manifold ?

exhaust manifold ? i did a search but i didnt see anything on this, but i have a 99 ls1 and i know that the 00-02 exhaust manifolds flow better than the 99 and down. so would the manifolds from the 00-02 fit on the 99? i am pretty sure they would but i just want to make sure thats all! thanks in advance

so the 01-02 manifolds dont have the EGR provision but heave the AIR provision?....i seen something bout it for FLP LT's...i dont get like what it is if its needed or whatever to pass emissions

well see thats the thing, i am putting this motor in my 68 firebird! and the only headers that are made for it right now are shorties! and a set of those start at $400. so i was thinkin if i could get a set of manifolds and then get them powdercoated or poilshed, i am sure that they wouldnt cost near as much! but they should bolt right on there right? thanks for the help guys

he's doing a conversion The cast 00-02 manifolds should bolt right on any LS1/6 motor currently available.

Verdad Gallardo oh gotcha...didnt understand that at first...i figured he could just do LT's but it makes better sense now i think...especially since ive seen a bucnah restored cars or conversion cars with shorties anyways

THe 00 cast manifolds that came off my car do have the provisions for EGR and they are the same design as the 01-02. Think about porting the 00 exhaust before putting them on. Instead of the stock cats run the Random Tech catted Y. Then let me know what kind of power increase you get. I am thinking of doing the same thing.

well thanks alot guys, i was pretty sure that they would fit, but i just wanted to make sure! now the hard part is findin them lol. do yall know anyone who has a set for sale? i have an ad in the wanted section, but the more help i can get i will take it lol
