American Racing Headers I have 98 z/28 with ARH 1”7.8 headers stock oil pan. So I went to change the oil for the first time since installing headers. I unscrewed drain plug and realize that the headers are directly in front on drian plug absolutely no way to remove drain plug. So has anyone had this problem?
I have that setup. I use a box wrench instead of a ratchet to get at the plug and there's enough room for me to get it out. Minor annoyance that the primaries get a little oil bath and smoke at startup. But otherwise it fits.

Same here, used a box wrench & mine had room to clear header after that. To keep oil off the header I just used a roughly 5x7 piece of cardboard I cut from the side of a cocacola 15 pack, used the "slick" side and held it up against the header right before I completely removed the plug so the oil would hit it and run down into the drain instead of covering the header...... Now if you physically don't have room to get the plug all the way out before it hits the header you may need to double check they are installed/fabricated properly.
