Default 5.3 from 260 to 400hp?

Hello gentlemen,

So I took my 2004 Silverado to the dyno a couple weeks ago and it only made 331whp and around 333 ft-lb. I'm honestly not satisfied with the numbers, what can I do to make it reach around 400whp while keeping it naturally aspirated? One guy told me to bore the block to 5.7 and get some flat top pistons, would that get me up to around 400whp?

Current mods:
243 heads
tsp cam 212/218 .600/.600
tbss intake manifold
Shorty headers
Cold air intake

Thank you in advance!

Probably not. Would get you to maybe 360 or so.

The best thing you could do would be to get a 6.0 short block and move your cam & heads over to it. That would probably get you there.

Your curves also look like they have some tuning oddities in them. Who did your tune?

Well I live overseas, it's some guy with a laptop lol idk much about tuning honestly, all I know is that he uses HP tuners. You think his tuning is not that good?

The easy route would be 100 shot wet nitrous kit and pull a couple degrees of timing, then go colder on the plugs. And get those shortie headers off and do some good long tube headers. That'd put you over 400 easy.

I wouldn't say that; rather, it looks like he's not finished yet. It looks like it needs more work. There shouldn't be dips like that at 3500 and 4700 RPM.

Mamo heads, fast 102 ported, bigger cam, longtubes and full exhaust with good merge and muffler may get you pretty close.

I'd put more stroke in it before more bore. Truck needs torque, therefore, I would not focus on hp as much. I would look into a good head, no bigger than 225, stroke it, slightly bigger cam or the same, call it good. It will be a fun truck. What trans and rear?
