Chris1313 CAI and hood stability

Seems there is some cutting of the hood latch support involved for this install. In doing so will the good latch be any less stable? Any negatives that come with making these cuts?

Compromising structural integrity is not a good sacrifice for a smoother air intake. Cut the intake instead.

If you have his ac or non ac version, cutting the v bracket does not sacrifice integrity to a degree I would consider significant or noteworthy. I’ve ran both, but I have not ran his pro stock version. I used his ram airs on my DDs with no problem.

I have a pro stock with AC.
I know it's not the same, but latch supports have to be trimmed regardless.

Hit 130 multiple times last night.
Hood did not lift or flutter at speed.
it also shuts solid.
