Question Plug wires - 02 T/A with 1-7/8 headers

I was going to get the Taylor 135° (76045) wires, but my budget is getting eaten up. Will these ACD wire (SEE SUMMIT LINK BELOW) work? Would these be considered 135° plug boots? Also concerned because they look so short in the pic and they are so cheep.

Also, someone mentioned Napa wires and that they come with a lifetime replacement, but I called 2 stores and they said that they don't make them for ore cars. Would anyone have a P/N for the set that works for our cars?

02 T/A with 1-7/8 headers.

EDIT: These are the coil packs I have

Get them, they'll work fine. I have Summit branded wires on my Camaro and they've never given me a problem.

So that AC DELCO P/N: 9748rr, will work on our cars? I ask, because I just recently read that it's for later model (05+) trucks.

Depends on what coil packs you are running. That's the key difference. So if those are set up for the truck round coils or square coils, they may not fit yours. I've got 4 LS powered vehicles, I'll look around when I have a chance and see if any wires are interchangeable.

I appreciate the help, man. I'll get a pic of the coils I have, but AFAIK, they are the stock set.

I have 2" headers and use MSD wires with Hinson boots on my car. The spark plug side is straight out of the box but can be bent to whatever you want. Each one is bent to fit and labeled for the cylinder. I did not bend them all the same.

I guess you missed this part of my post, "...my budget is getting eaten up...", hence the reason I'm asking about $35 AC Delco wires and not $100 wires

When I just checked Summit's site, they said that those wires you posted didn't fit my '06 Silverado, my '98 Firebird, or my '13 SS, but they DO fit my '06 Saab 9-7x donor car I have. And it has the same coil packs that my Firebird does, it looks like. So I'd say it's very possible that those wires WILL work for you.

Yeah, I think I just totally forgot by the time I got through post #5. They say short-term memory is the first to go!

They sell wire protectors at Autozone that you can slip over the wires to keep the boot from getting burnt.

Wire sleeves are a viable idea for sure. I wouldn't stress it too much. Your coils look like what I have on my 'Bird and on the Saab, might be slightly different. As long as the coil end engages correctly, they'll work. I have no opinion on FAST wires, never used them. I reserve opinions only for products I've actually ran myself.

Cylinder 3 is burnt and arcing

Weird off the wall question... are the wire ends swappable? Meaning, are the sockets the same; can you put the plug end on the coil end and vice versa?

No, the ends are different, you can't swap them end for end. Judging by how your wire is routed, you definitely need to invest in some high temp sleeving.

I had a plug wire rub against and short out on the steering shaft in my 04 Tahoe. Never saw that coming.....
