Pulled motor and found a mystery plug

I'm salvaging my motor for another project. Pulled the ls1 and 4l60 together from the top and found this plug on the ground. It is larger than the cylinder head plugs.

I also broke the AIR diverter valve cap on the cowl and not sure if this is where the plug came from... has anyone ever opened their AIR valve assembly?

Maybe the plug from the transmission. Bottom of bell housing. Can remember what it looks like.
But maybe it came from the broken part you said.

Not the trans plug.
They are thin with gripper tangs on the sides.

Its not a freeze plug on the cylinder heads. Also it is bigger in diatmeter compared to the cylinder head plugs. Are there other locations for me to check?

You found it on the ground. ANY possibility it was there already, before pulling the engine??

it was not there prior. The only place I can think it is from is the AIR diverter valve I attached a picture of but I can't validate that because I don't know what is in the valve when it is assembled. If someone can open their diverter valve and confirm if it is a part of it or not.

It fits on the diaphram but it ain't a perfect fit and I don't know how the diverter valve is supposed to be assembled correctly and/or what parts are missing or not.
